MCSA appointment to make managed services a customer favourite
We are pleased to announce that IT industry leader and ex-National Hunt jockey Terry Storrar has joined us as director of our managed services division. He is tasked with expanding our managed service capability across the UK by aligning our outsourcing, hosting, and hybrid cloud offerings, more closely with ever-changing customer demand.
Ultimately, Terry’s goal is to deliver optimal value for customers. This means helping them to experience lower costs and reduced risk, improvements in their quality of service and scalability of IT infrastructure – whilst being liberated to focus solely on their business challenges.
Terry’s appointment comes at a period of strong, consistent, growth for us, and our continued investment, will ensure that we are always at the forefront of business innovation. We are now looking forward to building on our strong industry reputation of providing high quality, IT support and gaining similar recognition of our range of managed service offerings.
Terry brings 25 years of IT sector expertise and a track record of customer service excellence. His arrival follows two years as IT services director at Annodata Group. Prior to that, he was managing director of managed service provider Wirebird – and was instrumental in driving the company’s multi-million pound growth that led to its acquisition by Timico Technology Group in 2015. Uniquely for the IT industry, Storrar was also a National Hunt jockey, which has equipped him well in surmounting all obstacles in the path to success.
Commenting on his new role, Terry said, “To be successful in the constantly evolving IT sector, instilling customer trust is a key factor and MCSA has built that over its 36 year history. There is now a major opportunity for us to build on those foundations by shifting the industry mindset – from reselling, to a more consultative approach – so we proactively advise customers – to create successful outcomes. I’m looking forward to developing MCSA’s UK presence and helping customers to achieve their goals.”
Paul Timms, MD at MCSA, adds, “Terry joins us at a very exciting time, he brings with him a wealth of expertise in creating sustainable routes to market, that result in outstanding growth. We have made significant investments in managed service monitoring tools and resources, combine this with Terry’s focus on service excellence, and we can better align our offerings with shifting customer needs.”
Outside work, Terry is the proud father of two daughters and when he has time, tries to retain a single handicap figure on the golf course.
