MCSA is pleased to announce our dedicated charity for 2019 will be Fight Bladder Cancer. The charity is the only UK-based bladder cancer charity founded and run by bladder cancer survivors and their families.

Fight Bladder Cancer support everyone affected by bladder cancer, working to raise awareness, support medical research and campaign to affect policy at the highest levels to bring about change in bladder cancer treatments. Their aim is to achieve better outcomes and quality of life for all those affected.

The charity receives no financial support from the government so donations from individuals and fundraising events are essential in enabling it to carry one with its amazing work.

At MCSA, we endeavour to dedicate a significant amount of our time every year to fundraising, hosting multiple events throughout the year with the intention of raising large sums of money for our chosen charities.

Last year, our chosen charity was the Stroke Association, a charity which funds lifesaving research and provides support to those affected by strokes, whether it be victims or their families and loved ones.

In total we raised £1133.05, which will make a significant difference to those who depend on the charity for support.

Over the Christmas period in 2018, on top of our ongoing fundraising for the Stroke Association, we also decided to raise money for the Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s charity, who work to fund specialist nurses and care for seriously ill children in hospitals across the UK. Our 12 days of Christmas campaign saw plenty of fun Roald Dahl themed activities to raise awareness of the charity and raise as much money as possible over the festive period. We raised a total of £1905.00 over just 12 days, a fantastic result.

We are hopeful of raising similar totals for this year’s charity and would like to say a further thank you to everyone who donated during 2018.
