The MCSA Group announces that it has been awarded a place on the Government Procurement Service’s G-Cloud III framework. The company has been successful in providing services in three areas – infrastructure as a service, software as a service and specialist cloud services. These offerings will be provided for the entire UK public sector.
The G-Cloud is a Cabinet Office initiative designed to encourage the adoption of cloud services across the public sector. The difference between G-Cloud and other Government frameworks is that organisations do not purchase hardware or software licenses – they instead pay for services as they use them. These organisations benefit from the scalability, flexibility rapid deployment, reduced costs and total cost of ownership that Cloud services offer.
Andrew Boyle, managing director at CSA Waverley said, “This is a great award for us and recognises our IT expertise and service excellence. Cloud service delivery is an increasingly compelling, cost effective option for public sector organisations. This is because they face the high costs of replacing old infrastructure with new, flexible technology to cope with challenges such as BYOD and workforce mobility. Using Cloud, organisations can gain an advantage as they are not being held back by complex legacy IT and can swiftly respond to new opportunities.”
